I have no background in dancing nor am I a fan of dancing, yet I was curious with how it really feels. When my brother asked me to join their gang on trying Salsa Nights at La Dolce Vita in Makati and after assuring me that there will be a free Salsa lesson for me to learn I agreed without batting an eyelash.
We were hesitant to join the crowd in dancing, they were all good. So we just ordered a tasty Pizza Quattro Formaggi and some drinks too.

Then the host announced that they were going to start the free dance lesson, we were still hesitant! I didn’t travel from Antipolo all the way to Makati just to sit down and watch people dance. I want to try Salsa Dancing and I want it that night! So I removed all shyness and hesitation and walked onto the dance floor and stood and awaited instruction.
1… 2… 3… pause… 5… 6… 7… pause…. the foot steps were just easy. Then the instructor added a turn-around and the movement just became a whole different monster! I looked to the other male participants and see if how they were doing and they were all good. Looks like I’m the only one who’s a newbie that night. Just keep on dancing and eventually I will get the moves.
Then the instructor said to get partners… NOOOOOO!!! I haven’t tamed the turn-around monster and here comes the instructor giving me another monster. I took a deep breathe and look right in front of me to see my partner. Heeeelllloooo… Definitely she’s not a monster but a complete opposite of a monster. Hi Mai! 
I held both of her hands and lucky me, we were conquering the same monster. So as the music went on we step on each other’s foot and other couples foot too and tried hard to dance. And when it was all finished we sat down and my brother still wanted to dance, so he went ahead with Cat, a friend of my brother.

As the night progressed I never had the chance to dance again, but definitely I will be back with a smoother and better dance moves.
