Calumbuyan Island was included in our itinerary on our 2nd day tour of Coron, Palawan. During lunch time our guide went missing for a while and when he came back he brought a fruit. He then asked if I liked to solve puzzles and then he showed me the Puzzle Fruit.
The Puzzle Fruit is a mangrove drift seed which can be found in South East Asia.1
Peel the thin skin of the fruit then you will see its seeds. Jumble them and try to put them back together. At first I thought it was easy, but it took me about 2 minutes just to finish my first puzzle.
Our guide, my cousin, my brother and I competed to see who the fastest puzzle fruit solver is. And guess who won? ahem… ahem…. 🙂
Solving the puzzle fruit was a good way to pass the time while waiting for the strong current of Calumbuyan Island to weaken.
