Last April 1 of 2009, me and my friends ended up in The Flower Farm Corp. located in Tagaytay City. Frankly, I’m not a fan of flower gardens but I always tell myself that if I observe carefully I would find something different from what I usually see. Surprisingly, I did find something weird inside The Flower Farm Corp.
I’ve seen and ate a lot of pineapples but it was the first time that I’ve seen a mature pineapple the size of my thumb. Unfortunately, there was no caretaker nearby to tell me if it was edible but according to Tara-Na.com post about The Flower Farm Corp, the fruit is actually edible but there’s too little edible portion left when the skin is peeled.
Why would they name a sili labuyo (chili) like fruit Miraculous Fruit? Luckily, there was now a caretaker near the Miraculous Fruit. He explained that when you chew on the fruit you can now the sour vinegar and the bitter beer and it will taste sweet. He even offered us to get some fruits for free! We did and while we were ordering for lunch, we requested for shots of vinegar and IT’S A MIRACLE!!! It did taste sweet. Next time when I get a hold of a miraculous fruit we’ll have a vinegar drinking contest. 🙂
It may have been April Fools Day when we went there but these weird fruits are no joke. They are the real deal. Try them when you have your Tagaytay City escapade.
