When I was still in high school, I regularly visited Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife. At first I had no choice but to go there because that’s where my classmates and I practice our choral interpretation but eventually I slowly fell in love with the place to the point that I go there even when I was alone and just walk around or sit down and think about what I should do with my life.
When I stepped into college, I stopped going to the park since the university I went to is a park in itself. I missed this place. That’s why when I had the chance to go to the park after my visit to the Bureau of Animal Industry to get a friend’s dog Domestic Travel Permit, I never hesitated.
Let me show you why I love going to the park.

And my most memorable place in the park, the location where we practiced our choral interpretation.

Wildlife Rescue Center or Mini-Zoo

Since the park is maintained by the Protected Area & Wildlife Bureau, they also have this Mini-Zoo where they feature different rescued animals in the hopes that they recover from shock and are then transported back to their natural habitat.
Here are some of the remarkable animals I saw in the center.

Somehow I am sad that this animals are in captivity but I am hopeful that they will be released in their natural habitat soon. Except if they become a threat to people.
If you want to have a short escape from your boss the city life of Metro Manila, I highly recommend you visit Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife.
WARNING: If you’re single and bitter about your love life never go to the park. This place is conducive for dating and there’s a lot of people doing PDA. Please, if you’re dating in public have the decency to not show too much affection. Show your exploding emotions in the right place and the right time.
The right amount of PDA
From MRT Quezon Ave Station EDSA ride a jeep bound for Fairview or UP. Tell the driver that you are going to Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife. Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife is located before Quezon Memorial Circle, so when you’re on the big Elliptical Road it means you just went past the park. Travel time is less than 5 minutes. Fare is 8 Pesos.
From SM North or Trinoma, ride a jeep bound for Quezon City Hall. Tell the driver that you are going to Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife. Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife is located before Quezon Memorial Circle, so when you’re on the big Elliptical Road it means you just went past the park. Travel time is less than 5 minutes. Fare is 8 Pesos. Do not ride the Fairview bound jeepneys, they will not stop at the park. Do not also ride the UP bound jeepneys, they will not go to the park.
From Fairview or Commonwealth Ave., ride a jeep going to SM North or Quiapo. Tell the driver that you are going to Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife. The entrance to the park is located just when you exit the Elliptical Road of Quezon Memorial Circle. Fare and Travel Time will depend on where you are located.
Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife is open daily from 7AM to 5PM.
The Wildlife Mini-Zoo or the Wildlife Rescue Center is open daily except for Monday. The viewing time is from 9AM to 4PM except every Thursday when it closes at 3PM.

There are also cottages you can rent for 200 Pesos/cottage. Tell the clerk when you pay the entrance fee.

Thanks for sharing the photos. This Park was established in early 70 s, I think, by former Metro Manila Gov. Imelda Romualdez Marcos. Almost the same years when , Q.C. Mem. Circle, the Kidney Center, Heart Center, SSS main Bldg., Lung Center and SM North in early 80s. The Veterans Memorial Hospital was already there sometime in 1961 as well as some of the University Bldgs. in U.P.
These places can also be made as Guide so that the Visitors can take advantage of the proximity of the Park. The sight of the old indigenous Trees is also interesting.
Taking a Taxi from SM North or MRT Quezon Ave. EDSA will cost only less than 100 pesos if not on peak hrs. (8 A.M., 12:00, 4:30 P.M. It costs more, but you save time and you save time and effort. Then you have more time to enjoy the Park. Besides, if you are a family or you
have companions, the fare cost is almost the same w/ the public transportation.
I know this place because I grew up nearby. My first 3 months Office experience was at the U.P. Diliman Post Office. The plan, I think is very promising for Filipino Entrepreneurs (big and small). Do inquire from DTI, before the big Capitalists expand their businesses there.

the other “MUST VISIT and MUST EXPERIENCE” destinations in
Metro Manila? The ff. I think are
good subjects:
1. Taguig City – Site of FTI
(Food Terminal & Educational
Institutions like TESDA)
Pateros, home of best “BALUT”
2. MRT & LRT Routes – seeing Metro
MNL the fastest and cheapest means in 3 Hrs. From the starting Station to the end,
sitting by the Window in one side, then return seeing the other side
without alighting. This will be
very interesting to MM Visitors from
the Provinces and OFWs. However,
peak hrs. should be avoided.
