Pls. include in your food section the super delicious lechon baboy sold in front of timoga swimming pool or the bayug lechon, and is best paired with our famous sukang pinakurat and hanging rice “puso”. thanks

  2. Do you know where can we have food trip in Iligan City? Me and my friends are planning to go there. #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines

    • Check out their lechon and barbecue. Hindi gaanong sikat ang Iligan in terms of food pero masasarap po ang mga pagkain nila dun. Tumaba nga po ako sa Iligan City nung nandun ako. 😛

  3. I like how useful this post will be for people with plans to travel to Iligan city. You have my thumbs up from one who has live in Iligan for quite some time. Have a safe trip on your future journeys! 🙂

Thank you for promoting my hometown in your blog. It’s very nice and very straight-forward that people would not find it difficult to get to and around Iligan. Although I live in Davao City now, I am still loyal to my hometown. Keep up the good work! Continue to share the beauty of travelling in the Philippines! I salute you.

    • You’re welcome Marizel. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kinds words! Keep on traveling! God bless you!

    • Hi Kizza, thank you for your suggestion. However, I’m focusing more on the logistical aspect of Iligan City on this post than what to do there. You can see that I’ve included the link to the waterfalls of Iligan City on the first sentence. I hope this is okay with you.

In Iligan City, natural springs are also an attraction. Of the more than a dozen known ones, the most popular is Timoga Cold Spring. I hope you guys could visit there sometimes 🙂

    • Hey Jan Marc, thank for visiting my blog and also for the suggestion. I’ve visited Timoga Cold Spring and I’ve also written a post about it. You can see the link to it on the bottom of the post. 🙂

Check out The Strip in Palao (popularly referred as Calda coz Calda Pizza is located there), and the Night Market at the city plaza on Fridays and Saturdays. You can find all kinds of lechons and BBQs there. There also Amigos Cuisine near MSU-IIT…

    • Thank for the suggestion Joeker. I’ve tried all of them and I agree that they are must visit food-trips in Iligan City. 🙂

    • Hi Myryl, thank for the suggestion. Yes. I’ll make a post about the restaurants of Iligan too. Especially the ones that sell lechon. 😀

Notwithstanding my everdearest Alma Matter MSU-IIT at Tibanga Iligan City and my Childhood Place at Suarez Iligan City. More Power Iliganons and Lakas ng Trip!!!!

Thank you for these useful tips! Me and my friends are actually planning to go in CDO. And one of our bucket list of destination is Iligan City!

    Keep it up! 🙂

    • I’m not really sure how safe it is for a foreign tourist. But everytime I am there I would always see one foreign tourist walking around.
