8 Challenges you will face in Art in Island at Cubao, Quezon City

January 3, 2018 by Josiah 112 Comments

We visited Art in Island last and this became one of my favorite places in the Metro Manila. It’s actually a museum, but not like your usual museum, it features 3D art where you are allowed to touch it, feel it and many times you can do crazy poses with the art. Interaction and picture taking is a must.

It was challenging too, as there were around 200 persons inside when we visited according to their staff.

The art is colorful and the size of it is amazing but what I really like about Art in Island is that I had to force myself to be creative.

Here are challenges that you might encounter on your visit to Art in Island.

November 28, 2016 by Josiah Leave a Comment

Last September 2016, together with fellow cheese-addicts Lakwatsero.com and JovialWanderer.com we went to Galileo Enoteca Deli to try the Parmesan Cheese Wheel Pasta and it was worth it! Good food, great ambience and helpful staff.

Gerry’s Jeepney in Maginhawa Street, Quezon City

November 18, 2016 by Josiah 1 Comment

A friend of mine was visiting and wanted to eat at Maginhawa Street in Quezon City. The problem is I do not know where to eat there! Luckily, I was at SparkLab Innovation Center and asked friends on where to eat good Filipino food in Maginhawa. One of them suggested Gerry’s Jeepney and two other’s agreed with an exclamation point. Therefore, we dined at Gerry’s Jeepney.

If you're looking for good Filipino food I highly recommend Gerry's Jeepney in Maginhawa.

Getting to Gerry’s Jeepney

From Sparklab Innovation Center we went to the line of tricycles and told the driver to drop us off at Gerry’s Jeepney. After around 5 minutes he dropped us off at Gerry’s Jeepney and asked for the fare of 18 Pesos for 2 persons.

I did not do any research prior to our visit at Gerry’s Jeepney that’s why I was surprised to see jeepneys as dining areas. Though jeepneys for me symbolizes public transporation that goes through traffic and sometimes crazy drivers, this one has a fun vibe. A good environment for family and friends to get together.

Pacsafe Store at Glorietta 5, Makati City

July 25, 2016 by Josiah 5 Comments

I was a victim of having my phone stolen from my bag during a jeepney ride. It was one of those events that I do not want to experience again. The lost contact numbers and messages and some important memories through photos were gone instantly and bitterly. I was lucky that I do not have an emergency that time. But what if losing something inside my bag means losing time to process getting new IDs, bank cards or losing your job or much worse. These what ifs are my reason why I love Pacsafe products, because they care for you and your belongings. With their products I can #GoFearless during my travels and daily commutes.

I was really happy when I learned that Pacsafe opened their store in Glorietta 5, Makati City. I usually see their products in shops mixed with other brands but this is the first time I saw a store dedicated only to their bags and accessories. In fact this is their first store in the world!

I was surprised how diversified their products are. They have products for urban setting, adventure travelers and for leisure.

Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife

When I was still in high school, I regularly visited Ninoy Aquino Parks & Wildlife. At first I had no choice but to go there because that’s where my classmates and I practice our choral interpretation but eventually I slowly fell in love with the place to the point that I go there even when I was alone and just walk around or sit down and think about what I should do with my life.

When I stepped into college, I stopped going to the park since the university I went to is a park in itself. I missed this place. That’s why when I had the chance to go to the park after my visit to the Bureau of Animal Industry to get a friend’s dog Domestic Travel Permit, I never hesitated.
