I was waiting for the last trip of the RORO Bus to El Nido leave last night when someone when someone went up and stood in front of the bus. I was getting bored and hoped that he would perform a special number before we leave but he told details about a new way to get travel from El Nido to Coron, which I found really entertaining.
He presented that Montenegro Lines starting today will be ferrying people from El Nido to Coron and Vice Versa via their fast craft.
The travel time of the said trip is estimated to be 3 to 4 hours. The departure from El Nido would be 6AM daily and the departure from Coron would be 12NN daily.
Fare is around 1,760 Pesos per person. This is verified by Izah Morales of Tripadora.

I’m not sure. I’m trying to call the numbers they provided but it’s always out of reach. I’ll visit their office when I get to Puerto Princesa.
thanks josiah… super galing ng nakaisip nito 🙂
Josiah, thanks for linking 🙂 hehe
You’re welcome Izah! 🙂
hi josiah, thanks for your posts! It helped us a great deal in our Puerto Princesa-El Nido DIY tour with my family. Do you have a blog for DIY Coron? Or any contact details for accommodation, boatmen, etc.. We’ll be going there this July. Appreciate it. Thanks man!
Hi Angeli, i’m glad that my blog has helped you on you travels. Unfortunately, I still do not have a DIY Coron blog entry. I’ve still yet to visit the place and research there.
Hi Josiah.. I find your blog so helpful and so with james. i visit your blog everyday to see if theres an updates to your travel.. My sibblings and I (3 of us) will be in Palawan this coming Nov 29-dec 2, 2012 E.T.D 12:45-PPS. my target is El Nido.. and Im very thankful that you post that 300.00/nights with contact numbers and recommended tours. wow!!.. it thrills me.. and did a reverse computation on our budgets.. 😆 hindi ba delikado ang magtravel at night from PPS – elnido (viceversa)our plans is to ride a rorobus around 4:00pm going to el nido, coz i need to arrange our permits to UUR.. then dec 1 … around 4:00pm too.. el nido to sabang.. at least have an idea which accommodation should i take.. thanks for the help.. 😀
Hi Ella, I’m glad that this blog is helping you. I can’t really assure safety when it comes to night buses, but I always ride those buses, I’m still alive and have not experienced any danger during any of my trips there.
Unfortunately, I don’t advice applying for a permit a day or two before your trip to the Underground River as do-it-yourself travellers does not have a way to book and reserve in advance the permit. You can try booking with the lodgings in Sabang or if you have a friend in Puerto Princesa you can ask him/her to book it for you in advance. If not, you’ll be in the mercy of the tour agencies. 🙁
This is BIG!!! I’ve been scratching my head for months since traveling from El Nido to Coron usually takes many hours (8) to reach. With this service it’ll surely super rocking my trip in Palawan this Nov.
Thanks dude! 😮
You’re welcome Sazalj. Enjoy your trip to Palawan! 🙂

Hi Rachel, I’ve created a post for the alternative. Here’s the post http://www.lakas.com.ph/2013/02/boats-from-el-nido-to-coron-and-vice-versa/
The only option now is to travel by banca or other transpo method which will take about 8 hours. 😕
Hi can you confirm if there is a bus or ferry from el nido to coron what time it will leave?
Hi Monique, there is. I posted an alternative here in my blog with the schedule and details.
