We arrived at Sabang around 9AM via Lexus Shuttle Service and we were hungry!!!
The 50 Peso Dingy Diner
My brother and I planned that on this trip we would try to do things as cheap as possible, so we first looked for cheap breakfast. We checked out a couple of diners but the cheapest they can offer is a 89 Peso meal which is actually really off our budget.
We decided to walk westward, away from the lodgings and try our luck there. After passing by the port, asking some locals and passing by small souvenir shops we arrived at a dingy diner which serves 40 Peso dishes and an additional of 10 Peso rice.
I ordered nilagang baka and my brother ordered chicken adobo. For 50 pesos each we had our fill that morning.

The Tribal Lunch
After checking out some lodging at the west side of Sabang and visiting their waterfalls, we were thirsty and hungry again!!! We decided to try another diner and clumsily decided not to buy water since we were already looking for lunch.
Unfortunately, almost all the diners near Sabang Port are only service Eat-All-You-Can food for 200 Pesos. That’s way beyond our budget. We decided to keep on walking until we find cheap food.
We walked a bit far and we were in serious need of something to drink and eat. So we decided that whatever the next diner would be we will go in there, drink and eat. That’s how we ended in Tribal Beach Resort and Restaurant.

Grilled Pork - 165 Pesos

Squid Calamares - 175 Pesos
Goodbye budget! Our bill reached 730 Pesos! That’s 365 Pesos each. It would have been cheaper if we let go of our pride and ate at the 200 Pesos Eat-All-You-Can diners.
ΓΒ The 89 Peso Chicken Inasal
After doing the Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour and a little rest at our lodging, my brother said that since his birthday was near he would be treating dinner. And there I getting free dinner and still thinking that he was treating on a budget.
So after passing by the dark road to Sabang Port, I saw the 89 Pesos Chicken Inasal by Penao and told him we should eat there.
We ordered a chicken inasal each. Unfortunately, they do not have a good description on the dessert so we decided to pass on that.
We were the last customer around 7PM but the cook seems to be tired as he/she cooked about 4 grilled pork chop and 2 chicken inasal. haha!
After the meal, my brother told me that we should have ate at Sheridan! Stupid me! I though we were still on a budget.
Sabang is almost a ghost town during the evening. A complete opposite during the daytime as most of the visitors are on a day tour package. Seriously, they do not know what they are missing.
The Sheridan Dessert
Off we went to the luxury resort Sheridan for that dessert.
We looked at the menu and ordered quickly as we still have to go back to the dark road going back to our lodging.
I ordered Blueberry Cheesecake (120 Pesos) and my brother ordered Sheridan Split (120 Pesos).

Sheridan Split - 120 Pesos + 12% Tax + 10% Service Charge
The staff taking our ordered asked to what room should she charge the bill. We smiled and told her “Nagpapanggap lang po kami na dito natutulog.” She laughed and took our order.

Good dessert to end the day!
The Blue Bamboo Breakfast
Since we were too lazy to walk on a rainy morning, we just ate at the restaurant in our lodging.
My brother ordered Bread and Eggs and I ordered Pancake with honey. Unfortunately, they did not have honey. Weird they did not tell me before they made my order. Anyways, it was still a good breakfast.

Bread and Eggs

Supposedly pancake with honey became pancake with jam on top
Sorry, I forgot how much our order was but I’m sure it was less than 100 Pesos each.
The Daluyon Grape Shake
While checking the rates of the lodging in Daluyon, my brother got thirsty and checked out their menu and when he saw the Grape Shake his eyes sparkled and ordered for one.
Since I was thirsty too, I decided to get one too and it was good! The only downfall is that it costs 165 Pesos a glass, but it was really good. 165 Pesos worth! π

The Eat-All-You-Can Lunch
Before heading back to the main town of Puerto Princesa, we decided to completely break our budget and dine at Robert’s Resort Inn & Jewel Restaurant.
There’s a lot of restaurants that offer the 200 Pesos Eat-All-You-Can in Sabang, why did we dine at Robert’s? I think it was nostalgia as this is where we dined on our packaged day tour to the Underground River last October 2010.

Eat-All-You-Can for 200 Pesos per person
They served porkchop, fried fish, chicken, some salad and dessert.
All in all it we had a great time dining at Sabang, Puerto Princesa even though we broke our budget.
