Hey Josiah
Hope you’re well and you’ve had some great adventures recently! Im coming to Palawan for 3 weeks in Jan and have been looking for advice on the net for sometime. Your blog is by far the best thing out there! really useful for backpackers, foreign aswell as Filipino. So massive thank you! quick question – Im flying in and out of Puerto P. Im thinking of going up to Dumaran and Tay Tay, across to San V and Port Barton. in your opinion, is this a good idea to miss El Nido? im not one for crowds and noise and I’ve heard El Nido has both? plus, do you think Dumaran is worth spending a few days exploring? thanks for your help dude
David
Hi David,
I’m not sure if Dumaran is worth it as I have not been there.
I’ve been to Taytay and some of its islands but I would pick El Nido over Taytay. But I’ve yet to try their Island Hopping and their other tours.
Since you’re more into a quiet setting I think Taytay and San Vicente is a good option.
Maybe, head to El Nido and just get one tour and go back to Taytay and San Vicente. And maybe explore Dumaran too.
I’m sorry if it’s not much of a help.
Enjoy your travel in Palawan!
Hi. I just want to ask for your suggestion on which is better, PP to San Vicente to ElNido or PP to ElNido to San Vicente?
Thanks.
Logistically, it is better to do PP – San Vicente – El Nido.
Hi there.
Just game across this guide – very helpful! Just a question.. Do i have to contact the van in advance to book, or can i just show up at the terminal and take the next available? This is my first time in the philippines, so im still a little new to it.
Hi Julie, I do not think you should reserve or call in advance. You can just show up and take the next available van.
Hi, I want to visit the daplac cove. What itinerary would you suggest? Thanks
