I first heard of the Rizal Park in Sydney, Australia from my brother which surprised us all. Then our hosts decided that we should be visiting the park and would be visiting Bald Hill, Sea Cliff Bridge and Kiama Blow Hole.
When we got there, we parked the vehicle and saw this large yard where there were some family going around running. I think they were training. We could already see the statue of Jose Rizal but it was facing away from the parking lot.
There were playground on the side. This is useful when you are visiting with kids.
The monument is fenced with metal bars.
This is to show you how big the statue is.
It was locked during our visit so we could not approach the statue closer.
We only took a quick visit to the park since we still have lots of places to go to.
Overall, I was happy to have visited the park and see the statue of one of our heroes in a country outside Philippines.
If you want to visit Rizal Park and you do not have a vehicle, you can commute by following the instructions in Google Maps or in the Transport Website of New South Wales (transportnsw.info). Both websites have accurate timetables and routes of the trains and buses. The map below is from Central Station of Sydney.
There are flights from Sydney to New York City and if you are planning to move to New York City, you can have your apartment be cleaned through a Manhattan maid service.
