HUNGER!!! That’s all that my mind, body and stomach was saying/shouting when I woke up in De Loro Inn late in the afternoon on our 3rd day in Palawan. I quickly went to the front desk and ask where we should eat. Dayane and Jam said Kalui (check), Badjao Seafront and Kinabuch. With the simple reasoning that it was the first restaurant mentioned that we haven’t tried yet, we asked for directions to Badjao Seafront Restaurant.
We just need to call a tricycle and ask if the driver could bring us there, wait for us to eat and bring us back to De Loro Inn and it would cost us about P150 or depending on the tricycle driver. Simple instructions. We waved at a tricycle and asked how much would it costs, he answered P150. Alright! Exactly on the minimum range that was advised.
And after 15 minutes on the tricycle (it was that far!!!) we were hungrier! We invited our tricycle driver if could join us for dinner free of charge since we do not like people waiting for us, but he humbly declined our offer. We insisted but he still declined. OK, we’re hungry!
We swiftly walked on the wooden bridge going to the restaurant and, at last, we were there.

Asked for menu and ordered and ordered. We ordered Butter Garlic Shrimp, Salt & Pepper Squid, Steamed with Garlic Prawn (100g) and some drinks. We didn’t realize that we ordered so many until the food came.

We ordered two rice, each for one of us, but that was a wrong decision because we ordered again. That makes about P100 for all 4 rice. We should have gotten the Rice Platter which only costs P65.
Butter Garlic Shrimp and Steam with Garlic Prawn YUMMY!!! I really tasted how good fresh shrimp and prawns were.

Salt & Pepper Squid, was good too and spicy!
And after we have eaten our good meal, we called the attention of a waiter and ask if he could bring… a Mix Fruit Platter! Yes, we were that hungry. Don’t get the wrong idea, the amount of food were generous, it’s just our stomach was greedier (hungrier).

And with that we went back to our tricycle and went back to De Loro Inn. Having a satisfied stomach, mind and body.

E-mail: [email protected]
Telefax: (048) 433 9912
Operating Hours: Open daily 10AM to 10PM
Best time to go: Best time to go is during lunch time so that you could see the seafront. During night you can’t see any view outside.
How to get there: From Puerto Princesa City proper, ride a tricycle and say that you’re eating at Badjao Seafront Restaurant. Ask him if he could wait for you while you eat. According to our tricycle driver there are no public transportation passing by the restaurant. We paid our tricycle driver P150 for bringing us to Badjao Seafront Restaurant, waiting, and taking us back to our lodging.
Just a warning, some tricycle drivers do not know that they should wait for you in Badjao Seafood Restaurant. A group of people when we were there was left by their tricycle and our good tricycle driver assisted them while we were eating inside the restaurant.
