Man, this place brings back memories. We’ve been an avid customer of Mister Kabab since college. I remember after our gimik we would go there to eat and talk what happened earlier that night.
Front of Mister Kabab
Mr. Kabab is a Persian restaurant that is known for after-gimik dining. You’ll be surprised even in wee hours there’s still a heavy queue for dining customers. It’s open 24/7 even holidays. The price of their meal ranges from 100 Pesos to 200 Pesos without drinks.
Before, Mr. Kabab was located at West Ave corner Quezon Ave just opposite of Delta, now it’s along West Ave with a bigger seating capacity.
Special Chelo Kabab
Hot Sauce and almost empty Garlic Sauce
The dish we usually order there is Special/Beef Chelo Kabab. We’ve been ordering this dish for ages. It has two strips of Kabab [one strip only if you ordered Beef Chelo Kabab], tomato and rice with margarine [before it was butter, I guess they’re cost-cutting nowadays]. Mixed it with their famous garlic and hot sauce and it is to die for.
Ox Brain
We also ordered Ox Brain. I’m not really a fan of this dish, since I find the texture weird but lots of people love this, especially my cousin Koo. She would order this every time we go there. It’s prepared with cucumber, tomato and kalamansi. Squeeze the kalamansi in it and you’re ready to dig in.
They also have their famous Yoghurt Shake, which I forgot to order that time because I was craving for mango that’s why I bought a Mango Shake. The Yoghurt Shake has a mixture of sweet and salty flavor in it, but the sweetness overcomes the other. It’s a must try beverage when you’re at Mr. Kabab.
Baklava

Lastly for desert we had Baklava. “Pagkain ng di-tunay na lalake” – TNL. This pastry has two flavors: pistachio and wall nut [seriously pader na mane?!]. My cousin Diane who worked as an assistant-chef said that baklava should have a combination of pistachio and walnut. This was also good, but wasn’t that great for us. I had a more delectable baklava before, but if you haven’t tried it yet I recommend you do.
I have yet to try other cuisines in Mister Kabab, but I heard they’re also appetizing. Any suggestion on what dish I should try next?

Do you by chance, have any idea, where could I buy the best baklava here in Metro Manila? 🙁
Hi Ja, unfortunately hindi ko alam.
