How To Get There
After some debate and trial-and-error, my cousins decided that we try Tomato Kick in Maginhawa St., UP Village.
Frankly, I was not interested in eating there. Tha last time I tried their dish was during my nephew’s birthday party which Tomato Kick catered. Their food was good, but not that good. But since it was getting late, hunger was slowly felt and with no clear direction to go, I agreed to try Tomato Kick.
While on our way to UP Village, Koo assured us that their food was much better when dining in. Interesting. A complete opposite of one of my Antipolo Food Trips.
We got seats quickly upon arriving. There was only a single group in the room. Little did we know that that small group has the power to amplify their voices to sound like 20 groups! No wonder they were the only group inside the room. Instead of just sitting there and complain we decided to move and get conducive seats to have quality time with my cousins.
I asked Koo what were their usual orders at Tomato Kick. Her husband orders Crispy Bacon Liempo and her preference was Chicken Alfredo. What I hate about food choices is that when you’re hungry you still have to stop, think and choose. And with 10 seconds of self-debate I decided to have both dishes. 😀
Crispy Bacon Liempo, Rating: 7/10
I quickly consumed my Crispy Bacon Liempo and I liked the combination of Bacon Liempo and Salsa with Rice had. Cripsy with a little Salsa!
Chicken Alfredo, Rating: 9/10
Bad news! The waiter didn’t get our orders right. He forgot to place my Chicken Alfredo in the order slip and my stomach was slowly feeling contented with the Crispy Bacon Liempo. Panic mode! I really was interested with the Chicken Alfredo so I did not stop him from ordering it again. When my chicken came, I quickly took a small bite and my hunger quickly came back! It was delicious! Perfect combination of parmessan cheese.herbs, butter and chicken. Take my word, their Chicken Alfredo is a must try!
Other orders that my brother and cousins had were
Quesadilla, Rating: 6/10
Marinara, Rating: 7/10
Tomato Kick Pizza, Rating: 7/10
Now that I’ve tried dining inside Tomato Kick, I can’t stop to reminisce and ask why didn’t I eat here before when I was still in college?
