During our leisurely walk around Bokiawan, Hungduan for the Tungoh Ad Hungduan I saw these carved sculptures.
The carver of the sculptures said that it was a trophy for a race. I mistook the race for the Hungduan Climbathon 2011 since it was the reason why I’m in Hungduan.
Nearing the end of our walk we passed by the Tourism Office where I saw this poster of a run different from the Climbathon.
I’ve been dreaming of this type of run since I started running! Running with the scenic view of the rice terraces. Running from one rice terrace to another. Breathing fresh air and drinking natural spring water on the way.
Unfortunately, I was under trained and was still taking care of a minor operation when I saw the poster. All I can do is to flashback the pictures that I took on the way from Banaue to Hungduan to see and slightly feel how the 27km run would be.
I wish I was not under trained that time.
I wish I was not carrying a minor operation.
I wish I was running long distance while breathing fresh air and seeing the rice terraces.
I wish I could do this.
I wish that they will have it again next year so I will stop wishing.
I can only do now is pray, wait and be patient for next year.
I love Hungduan!
