The first time I went to Sagada, Mountain Province, Bibang brought Maki and I to Salt and Pepper Diner just beside the office of SAGGAS. We came up a small set of stairs and ended up in a restaurant full that almost all made of wood. The ambience was great and the food was also good too. That’s why at my second time in Sagada, I made it a point to visit again Salt and Pepper Diner.
I’ve tried their Pinikpikan which was good as the chicken was served on a different plate than the soup. By this I could control the amount of flavor the soup would make on my chicken. It was delicious, if only it was not prepared in a brutal way for the chicken.
I also tried their Chicken Inutom which to my delight only had the right amount of salt and spices. A light taste to be exact complimenting the vegetables accompanied with it. This dish reminds me of one of my favorite dishes in our house, the turbo chicken.
I’ve always loved going back to Salt and Pepper Diner and will be going back there everytime I go to Sagada, Mountain Province.
Next time I’ll try something other than their chicken dishes. 🙂
