It was during our visit to DDD Habitat in Lorega, Kitaotao, Bukidnon that we got to visit this coffee shop in the middle of nowhere.
After we tried going around the places near Kitaotao we request our habal-habal driver to drop us off in Seagull Coffee Shop and we’ll just walk going back to DDD Habitat.
When we got there we immediately looked for a coffee that we could order and some food to go with it. I ordered for a Hot Peppermint Coffee (131 Pesos), Special Suman with Tsokolate (65 Pesos) and since I was in a mood to eat something a bit salty on bread I also ordered a Clubhouse Sandwich (95 Pesos).

It was drizzling but since we want to experience the cool weather of Bukidnon we decided that we should sit outside. We found a table in front of the gas station where we could sit down and get enough distance from the weak rain.
Then the lady at the counter approached us and clarified to us that the Special Suman with Tsokolate means Special Suman with Hot Chocolate Drink. I tried to show her a poker face but what she really did was destroy that yummy mental image of mine of having a Suman on a banana leaf oozing with melted chocolate. So we requested to have the Tsokolate removed and it just became Special Suman (35 Pesos).
The Hot Peppermint Coffee was the perfect drink that goes with the Special Suman. The Special Suman was good too. Also was the Clubhouse Sandwich. My friends ate their share on a slow conversational manner. While I ate first and conversed after while sipping my drink in between bites and words. It’s more efficient that way.
Then a group of motorbikers stopped by and started smoking at the table in front of us. Since we all weren’t smokers, we didn’t like the smell of cigarettes so we decided to call it a day and walk back to DDD Habitat (500 meters away).

This was taken on our first attempt to get to Seagull Coffee Shop where we failed to reach the shop due to fear of the rain and thinking that it was still far away. Apparently, it was only about 100 meters away!
All in all our coffee break at Seagull Coffee Shop was a good experience. I never really expected that there was a good coffee shop in such a place and I’m glad there is. If ever I do get to visit DDD Habitat again, I would definitely be having coffee here again.

By the way, they also serve rice and viands. Their menu had Tinolang Manok (180 Pesos), French Fries (85 Pesos), Tocino (130 Pesos) and Sotanghon Guisado (120 Pesos).
P.S. Lately I’ve had too much coffee and chocolate that’s why I always go for a drink that has mint.
I was also expecting a suman with chocolate in it. so much for getting our hopes up. 🙁
