Last April my brother showed me a set of pictures from Wawa Dam. Nature on the background, people sitting on the dam, chatting, eating and letting the mossy green waters trickle down to cool them off. I want that feeling too but due to my busy schedule I wasn’t able to experience it then.
One of the pictures that my brother took in Wawa Dam
And after 5 months of work deadlines and busy road traffic my schedule finally gave in and made a gap for me to go to Wawa Dam. I can hear the birds chirping, feel the cool mossy green waters flowing and see the big white rocks and trees on the background, all in my head of course. The plan was just simple, get directions, step out of the house and just go there. No buts. No excuses.
After 1 hour, 13 minutes and 26 pesos of jeepney ride I was finally able to reach my dream destination.
I looked up and saw that the weather was good. All I have to do is just walk the trail and I’ll finally be able to reach the foot of the dam.
Crossing a bridge to the dam
Passing inside a tunnel
I was now standing a hundred meters away from my destination and could not help but stop and see the view ahead.
Wawa Dam
Sitting on the dam, shattered!
Mossy green waters trickling down on my back, shattered!
Birds chirping on the background, shattered!
Eating below the dam, shattered!
With all the city life stress plus a disappointing turn of events, it was the perfect formula to breathe in… deeply… and let it all out.
Good thing I kept it cool.
I kept my Häagen-Dazs Caramel Biscuit & Cream cool.
Cool bag filled with dry ice
I sat down, opened the cool bag and I was ready to enjoy my Häagen-Dazs Caramel Biscuit & Cream.
Ready
Häagen-Dazs Caramel Biscuit and Cream
It was a refreshing and sweet experience. The coldness of the ice cream made me forget the blazing heat of the sun. The caramel biscuit added chewiness and uniqueness to my experience. Every time I chew a caramel biscuit, the sweetness explodes to my mouth, just like a Big Bang that creates happiness in every bite.
Do not disturb.
Slow melting in progress.
And after I enjoyed my Häagen-Dazs Caramel Biscuit & Cream, it was time to go back. Bringing the cool bag and handpack back to the house and throw it in the proper disposal to preserve nature’s goodness.
