After seeing Kareen (Laagan na Cebuana) on top of Osmeña Peak, I got in contact with her via Facebook in order to meet her again with our friend Kate (Red Maleta). They asked where I wanted to eat (since I am non-Cebu based), I told them I want seafood. They said we should eat at STK ta Bay! I was like is that a serious name for a restaurant? Apparently it was and since I’m getting seafood I never really made much thought about it until now that I am writing about the restaurant.

Before anything else let us dissect what STK means.
- S – Sugba (Grill)
- T – Tula (Broth)
- K – Kilaw (Ceviche or cooked in lime or vinegar)
11:48 AM It was a rainy day in Cebu City when we all met Lai (Pinay Travelista), Kate and Kareen. When we got to STK ta Bay! we had to think twice of getting out of the taxi due to the strong rain. Luckily, one of their staff saw us and brought this really huge umbrella.
We went inside the restaurant and looked for a seat. We were given a menu and we chose Baked Scallops, Tuna Panga, Grilled Squid, Utan Bisaya and a Rice Platter.

It was after we ordered that Kate and Kareen pointed out the interiors.
After about 10 minutes of waiting for our orders came one by one.
Baked Scallops – 135 Pesos
Kate was the one who ordered the Baked Scallops. I tried one piece and I knew that I want more! Unfortunately, I was not very decisive that day so every time they offer the scallops I would just smile and get a piece. Deep inside I was shouting, I want everything! I want the whole platter!!! But I have to be a gentleman and think of everyone else.
Tuna Panga (Grilled) – 380 Pesos
The Tuna Panga looked like a boomerang. I seriously wanted to throw it and see if it would fly back to us. Then I thought about it landing on another table and the group there would not give it back so we would end up not having Tuna Panga so I had to stop myself.
It turns out that stopping myself was a good move as the Tuna Panga was really tasty. It was well cooked with a perfect sauce. Really tasty. I could not remember how many times I reached in to grab a part and eat. I hope the others did not notice the frequency of me reaching for the Tuna Panga.
Utan Bisaya – 160 Pesos
Utan Bisaya did not look delicious for our soup with vegetables. But the taste was mild and the vegetables were nutritious. The perfect combination for the Tuna Panga. (Note: I’m not a fan of soups)
Grilled Squid – 300 Pesos
The Grilled Squid came in a bit late which made us have a second wind on eating seafood. It was a bit overcooked as the meat of the squid was a bit rubbery. The taste was good, though. I’ll try this again next time.
All in all, it was a very good lunch. Catching up with friends with delicious food enveloped with a nice ambience of STK ta Bay! at Paulito’s Seafood House.

I would definitely go back here when I visit Cebu again.
Seriously, when I go back here, I will order 2 servings of Baked Scallops. One serving for everyone and the other platter only just for me.

They keep on grilling even when it was raining hard.
Other items we ordered.
- Plain Rice Platter – 75 Pesos
- Kalamansi Juice – 45 Pesos
- Regular Ice Tea – 45 Pesos
