Airport

Dairy Farm and Airport of San Vicente, Palawan

March 26, 2012 by Josiah 2 Comments

We planned to have the first half of our second day in San Vicente, Palawan trip to visit the Dairy Farm, Airport, Ostrich Farm then the last would be Long Beach. Fortunately, we arrived early at San Vicente Poblacion the day before and was able to visit Long Beach late in the afternoon. Waking up from our 55 Pesos/person/night lodging, we ate breakfast at a nearby carinderia then hired a habal-habal to take us to the Dairy Farm. The driver priced our trip to the Dairy Farm at 300 Pesos, but according to the tourism office it was only priced at 200 Pesos. I tried my haggling skills asking if we could get the price down to 200 Pesos. Fortunately, he agreed! And off we went to the Dairy Farm. We started around 8:20 AM and after a long-dusty-rough road and 2 river crossings we finally arrived at the Dairy Farm at Brgy Kemdeng around 9:10 AM. During river crossings you could ride your habal-habal or you can do what Val does, challenge herself by crossing on the rocks. Unfortunately, we arrived too late as the staff of the Dairy Farm already had milked the cows. According to them it is best to arrive around 7AM or 3PM as that is their schedule to milk the cows. I’ve heard a lot about this Dairy Farm from friends here in Palawan and they said that I could and should taste the newly extracted milk of a cow here.

The Airport Town of Guiuan, Eastern Samar

November 27, 2011 by Josiah 3 Comments

When I saw the brochure of Guiuan, Eastern Samar one of the highlights there was the American Airport that was built during World War II.

But during my trip to the airport Uncle Ruby was explaining to me that there were actually two (2) runways built by the American Liberation Forces and the other runway was actually where were cruising along.

I quickly observed the surrounding and asked the question

Why in the world would there be 50 meter wide highway in such a small town?

Shuttle Transport To and From Iloilo Airport

November 22, 2011 by Josiah 10 Comments

To those flying to Iloilo City, you don’t have to worry on paying 350 Pesos for your one-way taxi fare to Iloilo City from the airport if. You just have to ride the Shuttle Vans to SM City in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

According to the drivers that I talked too. What they can assure travellers is that if there’s a flight going to Iloilo they have will have a shuttle van to take travellers to Iloilo City. And when there is a flight going out of Iloilo City they will have trips going to the airport.

Unexpected Amazing Race

September 8, 2011 by Josiah 5 Comments

My grandmother died last 2005. We are from Iligan City, Lanao del Norte but when I was about 2 years old my parents decided to migrate in Quezon City.

My brother and mother left a day before because I still had an exam and our flights are either 10AM or 1PM. I was comfortably taking a bath around 8AM thinking that my flight was 1PM and realized “Didn’t my mother had her flight in the afternoon?” I ran up to my room to check my ticket with a body full of soap and with only a towel to cover what should be covered. MY FLIGHT WAS 10AM NOT 1PM!

2 hours left for me to finish my bath, pack my things and get to the other end of EDSA since we were living near SM North.
