The Rexona Run 2010

rexona run 2010

This was my 2nd run for this year. The first one was earlier this year on Tagaytay Highlands – Mizuno Run 2010. Rexona Run 2010 was a big event that was organized by Rio [feeling close kay coach, hehe!]. The number of participants for our category was around 2800+. Imagine the multitude of people during the run [I almost collide to one lady runner who was really cute during the race. Sayang! Hehe!].

Epic Relay 250

June 15, 2010 by Josiah 1 Comment

My side of the story is very different from all the participants of the race, because I was the very first runner to be injured. I passed out after our team registered/logged-in. The cause is I wasn’t taking proper nutrition and I was lacking sleep.

First attack was lack of potassium (Hypokalemia). I lost strength in my legs while I was running to my teammates heading to the registration. I got a big wound because of this. To make things worst there was a car following me from behind, good thing the driver has good reflexes and his car has good breaks.

Second attack was lack of blood sugar (Hypoglycemia), after the medic/doctor applied betadine and patched my wound I felt dizzy. At first I was shy to put my hands on his shoulder but I really needed something to hold on to. So I reached for his shoulder and he asked if I was feeling dizzy. I answered yes. Then it all went rainbow mixing

The Green Miles Run

March 22, 2010 by Josiah Leave a Comment

A couple of weeks ago Cat was inviting me on The Green Miles Run. I didn’t register immediately thinking that the run was still 3 weeks away. I then registered on friday, they said that theregistration has ended. Since my mind was set, I was determined to run 15kms on March 21, 2010.

I haven’t ran in MOA, not for a race nor for a simple jog around the complex. Since I wanted to try this, my decision was made, I will be a bandit runner.

Mall of Asia

Mall of Asia

“For the opening remarks, please welcome Mr. Piolo Pascual!” What?!? I didn’t know Piolo was there. I didn’t know that there were a lot of delegations from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). There was also a parade.

Ateneo Aquathlon 2010: Cat’s Perspective

March 21, 2010 by Cat Leave a Comment

For our category, 22-29years old Female, 3 heats were expected based from the numbers of registered participants. But, for some reason, maybe 2/3 of the participants opted to watch the Pacquiao-Clottey Fight or maybe because it was too late before we start, less than 20 females participated in the said category.

Swimming

We did 600m swim. And did I mention from the 16 participants, I was the only one who is not a swimmer? For that, I was the last one to finish the swim leg. It took me 19 grueling minutes. I failed my training buddy and my mentor, Kuya Bobong. I did not start and finish strong. It seems all my hard work did not pay off. It was unfair, I thought.

It’s almost a week now since the Ateneo Aquathlon 2010 event, I was not a participant there but I went coz’ my younger brother [/boss] Josiah [Sai] asked me to take pictures while he and Cat partake in the event. It’s my first time witnessing an aquathlon, coz’ I’ve only been to a marathon when I joined Kenny’s Urbanite Run 2009. Ever since then I couldn’t get myself to drag my feet out of the bed and join another marathon, as those kinds of activities usually takes place early in the morning [way too early for an insomniac like me].
